Ingredients
9 vanilla beans
1 1/2 C vodka
Preparation
Split the bean in half, leaving about ½ inch at each end intact.
Put vanilla beans in a sealable glass bottle or jar. Submerge with vodka, seal and shake.
Store bottle in a cool, dry place for at least 8 weeks. Agitate the bottle every week or so. As you use the vanilla, simply add in more liquor to replace what you have used.
