Ingredients
1/2# butter
3/4 c confectioners sugar (plus more for coating)
2 c flour
1 c ground almonds or walnuts
1 t vanilla
Preparation
Preheat oven to 300. Cream the butter, then add the sugar, flour, nuts, and vanilla, and mix thoroughly.
Shape with your fingers into delicate crescents approximately 2" long x 1/4 " wide and thick.
Roll in confectioners sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for about 12-15 in, until just faintly browned.
Cool, then roll in more sugar before serving.
