Ingredients
5-6 large Vidalia Onions
1.5 cups breading, preferably western style
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg beaten
16 oz beer, preferably a PBR Tallboy
milk, to thin batter as necessary
Preparation
Peel and slice onions into 1/2 inch rings In a bowl mix flour and baking powder, add egg and beer until well combined. Add milk by the teaspoon to thin if necessary. Dredge the onion ring and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve while hot.
